Tax Manager

Xceed Staffing is looking for an experienced Tax Manager for a high-tech company located in the South Bay.  This role will be highly involved with all aspects of domestic and international Tax and Tax provisions. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and assist in PBC preparation for External CPA firm with respect to Stock options settlement
  • Familiarity with the FAS123, preparation of R&D credit and FIN 48 calculation.
  • Tax account reconciliations and validation of the deferred tax accounts.
  • Prepare and coordinate PBC information with D&T for federal and state return preparation.
  • Prepare quarterly installments and extensions.
    Prepare and coordinate PBC information with D&T for the international components of the federal return (ie: Form 5471, 1120-F for Cayman, etc)
  • Document preparation should comply with all relevant regulations and meet the standards set forth by the IRS auditors and should be reliable enough to withstand questioning under exam.  
  • Assist with preparation of the annual G&A functional analysis
  • Prepare and validate current year intercompany transactions between the various Power Integrations entities.
  • Assist operations and the legal department with updating intercompany agreements on an as needed basis.
  • Review US and non US transfer pricing rules to ensure compliance with local country standards.
  • Coordinate with international service providers and update the foreign tax account roll-forward on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of transfer pricing documentation

  • Monitor local inventory for IRC 956 purposes
  • Assist with personal and real property tax claim for refunds
  • Research and summarize information for discrete projects (ie: enterprise credits
  • Respond to miscellaneous sales and use tax issues
  • Review sales & use tax returns and property tax return
 
 QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Over 5 years relevant income tax experience in both public accounting and a corporate tax department – Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Strong federal corporate income tax knowledge base required including FAS 109 as it relates to the annual provision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, strong accounting skills; CPA a plus
