Xceed Staffing seeks a Senior Revenue Manager for a software/SaaS company located in San Francisco.  This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of worldwide revenue accounting and order-to-cash operations by providing leadership, accounting expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls.

The ideal candidate is a CPA (Big 4 preferred), Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, in-depth knowledge of Revenue Accounting operations and experience in managing teams in a public/established software company environment. The candidate must have strong organization and communication skills, be detail oriented and hands-on.

  • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Sales Ops and serve as the accounting focal point on revenue recognition
  • Serve as the Revenue expert on the Deals Desk
  • Audit revenue contracts to ensure revenue recognition compliance
  • Perform technical research on revenue recognition and/or other complex accounting issues, and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP
  • Draft and maintain revenue recognition policy and/or other accounting policies and memos
  • Manage the implementation of new revenue recognition standards
  • Manage the best estimated selling price and other analyses for multiple element arrangements
  • Provide revenue recognition training sessions and keep business partners abreast of developments in accounting and financial reporting
  • Manage all credit, billing and collections activities
  • Guide, mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals
  • Assist with the preparation of revenue metrics and ad hoc projects as needed
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • CPA
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience from public/established companies in Software/SaaS or technology companies
  • Experience with NetSuite desired
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP accounting principles with a strong knowledge in revenue recognition principles
  • Ability to work with senior management and influence decision making
  • Excellent project management, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, analytical, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
