Senior Financial Analyst – Sales Commissions

Xceed Staffing is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with Sales Commissions background to partner with senior management to build annual operating plans and manage quarterly and rolling forecasts for an exciting Pre-IPO software company in San Francisco.

Recent experience with and Xactly Express/Incent are required.  

This is a key position providing decision support through financial analyses on financial and operational matters. Additionally, this individual will manage sales compensation and incentive payments in partnership with the Sales Operations team with direct communication with leadership and sales representatives to address questions and escalated issues.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or l related field. 4 years’ experience working in a financial/analytical capacity in sales and/or commissions analyst role.

  • Managing the Annual and Long-term Operating Planning
  • Building detailed financial models that track and analyze revenue, functional costs and their impact on the company's overall performance
  • Managing the Quarterly Rolling Forecast Process
  • Conducting in-quarter forecast reviews with the business and ensuring that the business can flex and react to short term capacity issues
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, isolating key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management
  • Building deep business partner relationships across the organization Calculate commissions due monthly, quarterly & annually
  • Prepare monthly commission payments for payroll
  • Perform accurate and detailed audit of commission statements in accordance with  compensation plan requirements
  • Respond to commissions/bonus inquiries and providing data to various functions
  • Develop compensation communication materials, train members of sales and field operations departments regarding commission calculations and policy changes as appropriate
  • Draft and maintain commission related policy and procedure documentation (Comp Plan)
  • Proactively identify issues and make recommendations for new programs and process improvements
  • Run what-if scenarios for commission expense calculations
  • Work with sales management in modeling, developing, and modifying variable compensation plans
  • Superior Excel skills and proficiency with complex financial models.  Must be highly analytical with a comprehensive understanding of spreadsheets and pivot tables
