Xceed Staffing seeks to fill several Senior Revenue Analyst/Accountant openings for high-tech companies located in the Pleasanton/San Ramon areas.  Candidates with CPA/Big 4 experience highly preferred.  Big 4 CPA with no prior industry experience are also welcome.

Responsible for sales order review, monthly revenue and deferred accounting and close, sales commissions and reporting of revenue and deferred revenue, variance analyses. This position will help ensure revenue bookings are complete.  The Senior Revenue Analyst will work with Management and Onboarding, Sales, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure deals are properly closed and processed and reported upon in the quote to cash process.

  • Work with Sales, Legal, Onboarding and Director of Revenue Accounting, as needed, on reviewing in-process contracts to ensure accuracy of billing and revenue recognition requirements
  • Responsible for the monthly financial close for bookings, backlog, revenue and deferred, commissions
  • Review Sales Orders to ensure revenue contracts are properly recorded in NetSuite to align with US GAAP and Company policies
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for various balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Analyze revenue trends and investigate variances, partnering with FP&A team
  • Stay current on revenue recognition guidance and makes interpretations of guidance with respect to company revenues
  • Report numbers for various entities to Parent Company via Hyperion
  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements, continuous strengthening of controls and support of ad hoc analysis
  • Other ad-hoc projects as necessary (e.g. participate in NetSuite reconfiguration project, implementation of 606, etc.)
  • Public Accounting (Big 4) experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years of current industry experience
  • 2+ years strong technical experience with Revenue Recognition Guidance focused on software and multi-element arrangements
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills (written and verbal)
  • Customer service, problem solving approach that will facilitate open dialogue and engagement with both external and internal constituencies
  • Ability to work in a faced paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a business approach
  • NetSuite and SalesForce knowledge a strong plus
