Production Technician

Production Technician (Onsite)


Position Overview:

This position handles multi-functional in manufacturing including assembly and testing related to components within the company product lines. In addition, warehouse clerical tasks may include receiving, palletizing and other tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.


Responsibilities:


Assembly and Testing:
  • Installation of firmware / software on products for production.
  • Properly document stock requests and product build on requisitions and work orders.
  • Perform a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications, assemble products according to directions or assemble procedures.
  • Assemble components, mechanical or semi-finished goods into a finished product.
  • Use of common test equipment and specific product testers.
  • Troubleshooting/functional/final integration system tests and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform a wide variety of complex mechanical, testing, debugging, and documentation of assemblies.
  • Use various test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, vector scopes, and Sync generators, frequency counters, and AC/DC power supply.
Warehouse Packaging and Shipping:
  • Accurately package shipments accordingly to packing list, meeting needs of internal and external customers.
  • Flexible availability during month-end processing.
  • Process and ship late receiving product that is scheduled for shipment and must be able to deliver to carrier.
  • Ensure finished product is packaged in accordance with procedures and Quality specifications.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities related to product packaging, including but not limited to device history records and inventory counts.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations required to assist in completion of batch records.
  • Assist with inventory counting activities as required.
  • Receive all incoming receipts daily.
  • Un-box and verify all inventory items for conformity, quality, and quantity.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail, high efficiency, and ability to follow process instructions.
  • Strong team player in a cross-functional environment.
  • Use of hand tools, tweezers, and other light machinery.
  • Experience using pallet jack, forklift, or other shipping/receiving dock equipment with larger packages, pallets, materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • IPC J-STD-001- Certified IPC Specialist.
  • Be able to read drawings and schematics.
  • Understand basic computer skills. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent job experience
